I have been doing hair for almost 2 decades and for the first time in as many years, I am so amped about the next big thing in hair.....The Brazilian Blow Out....OMG...this thing is AMAZING. acacia hair boutique is so excited to announce that we are now offering the Brazilian Blow Out.
Two, of my staff accompanied me to Seattle on Monday to attend a certification seminar on the Brazilian Blowout smoothing system, and although the seminar did a thoroughly good job of getting us excited,(and of being convincing enough to get me to part with a substantial amount of money) I was, as always, somewhat sceptical of what these peddlers were peddling. and its not that I did not believe in what they were saying, its just that everyone always promises liquid gold in a bottle...and hype goes a long way.
So, long story short, (too late- I know) we got the stuff... brought it across the border, and tried it on the "worst case scenario" we could think of... so, let me introduce you to Cindy, our color technician; recently color corrected (with bleach no less) naturally very curly, very damaged, very broken, horse-like textured, frizzy, wiggy hair. Hair that needs to have -no word of a lie- Vaseline applied to it to try to make it shine. Cindy uses a flat iron, on full heat, several times a day to control the frizz and pouf. She also fights with trying to manage it and I fight to give it any semblance of movement, while keeping it smooth, when I style it. I usually have to use maximum tension, and A GREAT DEAL of product, followed by a very thorough flat ironing, which she always touches up afterwards.
Skip to this afternoon, when directly after ANOTHER color service, we did the Brazilian Blow Out Smoothing Treatment on her hair and holy S**t.... 90 minutes later, not only did we not have to use product to blow it out, we didn't have to use a flat iron....my jaw literally dropped.
Her response: "my hair hasn't felt like this since I was four". She did maintain a lot of curl, but her frizz and pouf were literally gone, and the blow dry was a cinch. I am so excited to share this with everyone....I cant wait for my next experience with it!!! stay tuned
